Privacy Policy
Competition Checker is operated by QUOD-Tech Ltd. This notice explains the limited technical data used by the public service and the account data used only when consumer accounts are enabled.
Data, purposes and choices
Public browsing can create limited technical and outbound-link records. A consumer account uses email, an immutable internal user ID, secure session records, favourites and purpose-specific choices; it does not require postal address, telephone number, date of birth, gender or legal name.
Account features are intended to be provided under contract. Security, abuse prevention and limited service or affiliate measurement may rely on legitimate interests where appropriate. Optional marketing, advertising and personalisation require the relevant choice or consent.
Storage, advertising and sharing
Strictly necessary storage supports security and privacy choices. Optional analytics and advertising storage are off by default. Advertising also requires technical configuration and consent-management readiness.
Individual account activity is not sold or exported as an insight product. Any future external insight must be aggregate, contain no stable user identifier and suppress small groups.
Retention and your rights
One-time links and sessions expire at their configured expiry. Authenticated users can export an allowlisted account record or delete their account, which removes the real email and optional account data while retaining only a pseudonymous internal-ID tombstone and minimal justified audit. That tombstone is not anonymous.
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, object to relevant processing, withdraw optional choices and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact support@competitionchecker.com for account or privacy-rights help.
