Open the app link on your phone

Open the link below in Chrome on Android, or Safari on iPhone and iPad. If you are reading on a computer, enter competitionchecker.com in your phone browser.

If a link opened inside a social or messaging app, copy the address and open it in your regular browser first. You can browse without installing; adding the app gives you a home-screen icon for easy access. If you already have a Competition Checker icon, try opening it before adding another.

Android: use the Install option on the site

Choose Install in the site navigation, or Install help in the footer. When your Android browser offers installation, the help window shows an Install app button. Tap it and follow the browser confirmation steps.

If the button is not available, use the browser menu steps below. No installation starts just because you visit the page. iPhone and iPad users should follow the separate Safari instructions.

Android: install from the Chrome menu

In Chrome, open the three-dot menu beside the address bar. Look for Install and create shortcut, then Install. Depending on your browser and version, the option may instead be called Install app or Add to Home screen.

Follow the browser's instructions and open the resulting icon from your home screen. Some browsers create a shortcut that opens a browser tab rather than a separate app window. The browser's wording and the way the icon opens can vary.

iPhone and iPad: add with Safari

Open competitionchecker.com in Safari. Safari uses its Share menu to add the app to your home screen.

Tap Share. Depending on your Safari layout, first open the page menu to find Share. On iPad, you may also need to tap More before choosing Add to Home Screen.

Choose Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, scroll through the Share actions and choose Edit Actions to add it.

Keep Open as Web App switched on if your device shows that option, then tap Add. Open Competition Checker using the new icon on your home screen.

If no installation option appears

Check that you are using Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone and iPad, rather than an embedded window inside another app. Safari uses Share and Add to Home Screen; it does not show the Android install button. Browser names and menu labels can vary by version.

The site cannot guarantee that every browser or device will offer installation. You can bookmark the site or keep using it in a normal tab. You do not need to clear your saved browser data or change account settings to browse the catalogue.

Internet access, sign-in and alerts

An internet connection is required to load competition and account data. Home-screen access does not make the catalogue available offline or guarantee that previously displayed information is current.

Use your existing Competition Checker account if you want to sign in. Sessions may behave differently across browsers and devices, so you may need to sign in again. Installing does not turn on alerts or change your account or notification preferences. Manage any available account features in My Account.

Use the comparison carefully

Competition Checker helps you compare supported listings; it does not sell entries or operate the competitions. Before entering, open the operator's official page and confirm its current price, availability, closing date and terms.

If something looks incorrect, use Contact and include the Competition Checker page and the operator's page so the difference can be checked.
