Source facts and calculated fields

Operator pages and public data feeds provide facts such as title, ticket price, ticket allocation, draw date, image and competition URL. Competition Checker stores evidence about where trusted fields came from. It then derives comparison fields, such as maximum-pool odds, under explicit rules.

This separation matters. A title containing a pound amount does not by itself prove ticket price, cash alternative or prize value. A per-person purchase limit does not prove the total allocation. A logo or category image does not prove the prize image.

Identity before mutation

Each supported operator has its own identity contract. A stable source product ID is preferred where available, with a validated canonical competition URL as a secondary identity. Titles are useful display text but are not safe unique keys on their own.

Automated lifecycle phases use exact evidence sets and operator ownership. Incomplete, ambiguous or duplicate identity results stop downstream mutation. A degraded scan should preserve the last-known-good public catalogue rather than interpret source failure as mass expiry.

What the CompCheck Score represents

The score organises available evidence across odds, value, transparency, operator trust signals and urgency. It is deterministic: the same inputs produce the same result. Explanations and risk flags show which inputs helped or limited the score.

A score is not an endorsement, safety certification or forecast of winning. Affiliate relationships are kept outside the scoring logic. Approved operator-directory membership means the operator is tracked under the public identity policy, not that Competition Checker approves every competition it runs.

• Confidence falls when required evidence is absent or uncertain.

Corrections and changing source data

Operator data can change between checks. Competition Checker records the current public projection from trusted lifecycle evidence, but users should still verify the live operator page immediately before entering.

If you spot a material error, use the contact page and include the Competition Checker URL plus the operator source. A correction should improve the evidence contract rather than simply overwrite a field without provenance.
