Competition Checker separates necessary storage from optional analytics and advertising storage. Optional categories are off by default and can be revisited from the site footer.
Strictly necessary storage
The site stores your privacy choice locally. When consumer accounts are enabled, a secure HttpOnly session cookie supports sign-in and account security. These functions are not used for advertising.
Optional categories
Service analytics remains off unless you enable it and a qualifying aggregate measurement service is configured. Advertising or personalisation also requires configuration, consent-management readiness and your explicit choice before a slot can render.
Managing choices
Use Privacy choices in the footer at any time. Rejecting optional storage is as available as enabling it. Account holders manage marketing email and anonymous insight-sharing separately in My Account.
